Biography

Angela Wu, OMD, LAc is an emerita faculty member of the Holistic Health Studies program. Angela began practicing traditional East Asian medicine over 40 years ago, and has helped a diverse range of patients with her acupuncture, herbology, qigong, and other Chinese healing arts (see wushealingcenter.com). Until 2002 she was a long standing member of our team, having initiated the program's Chinese Health Studies track in 1981. Among her many campus and community activities, she organized one of the first HIV/AIDS and Chinese medicine conferences in 1993 and was recognized for her work with HIV/AIDS patients. Angela is the author of Fertility Wisdom: How Traditional Chinese Medicine can Help Overcome Infertility (Rodale Press), a bestselling title in Amazon.com’s fertility category. In addition to her many years of service, IHHS is deeply appreciative of Angela's support, including the creation of a special fund established to benefit the program mission and its students.
