Kenn Burrows has been a Holistic Health faculty member at SF State since 1991. He is founder of The Holistic Health Learning Center. He also serves as faculty advisor for the Holistic Health Internship and the Holistic Health Network, and produces IHHS’s Future of Health Care conference. Prior to coming to SFSU, he taught at Foothill College for twelve years and operated Stress-Care, a corporate training and consulting company. He is presently completing a PhD program in interdisciplinary studies. Primary research and teaching interests include: holistic philosophy (inquiry into the complexity, vitality, beauty and wisdom inherent in nature/whole systems), stress, self-care skills and health care alternatives, narrative analysis, media literacy and new forms of activism, and the evolution of consciousness and cultures which foster nonviolence, creativity and human virtues.
