Ben Kumli

Benjamin Kumli, SHRM-CP, aPHR is a Lecturer in the Department of Recreation, Parks, Tourism & Holistic Health (RPT+HH). He has over 20 years of experience working in experiential education. Prof. Kumli has managed adaptive ski and rafting programs and is an experienced trip leader in a wide variety of outdoor adventure pursuits. In addition to his teaching at SF State, he also served as the California Faculty Association (CFA) representative for the College of Health & Social Sciences and as a voting member of the Board of Appeals and Review (Academic Senate subcommittee). Prof. Kumli received the 2018 Outstanding Faculty Award for his teaching service in the RPT+HH Department.
